Because the RFCG is a non-governmental organisation, our goal to prevent the extermination of a finch species is entirely reliable on donations. Our collaboration with BirdLife South Africa is a great honour and as volunteers we all wish to contribute our skills and enthusiasm to this worthy finch conservation initiative .

We are currently trying to raise US $10,000 in order to finance Phase 2 as discussed in our blog post on the RFCG collaboration with BirdLife South Africa on 9 January 2015
